Tourist of the week - Ross Williams

We’ve gone a bit cycling mad this morning after Bradley Wiggins’ great win yesterday! This week’s tourist is Ross Williams, a keen cyclist from London who stopped to give us some great tips on cycling in Skåne.
Hej! Thanks for stopping! Where are you heading?
Hej! I’m on my way to my wife’s family home outside Helsingborg after a training ride this morning.
Wow, you’re training even during your holiday!?
Ha ha, yes well I’ve been riding with the very welcoming CK FIX cycle club in Helsingborg on a couple of their training rides this week – everyone’s been fantastic and they’ve all made a real effort to speak English so it’s been a great experience.
Where have you been cycling here in Skåne?
I love to cycle up the coast from Rydebäck up to Mölle, then inland to Ängelhom and down to Bjuv. Also, there are some nice hills up to Stenestad and also at Ljungbyhed to test the legs nicely.
I’ve also cycled from Helsingborg across the country to Kivik for some of their famous refreshing cider.
That’s a long way! Very impressive. Do you know of any famous Swedish cyclists?
There are quite a few, Gustav Larsson who I think unfortunately had a crash in the race yesterday. Then there’s Magnus Bäckstedt and also in this year’s Tour de France, Fredrik Kessiafoff of the Astana team who narrowly missed out on the King of the Mountains jersey
Great, thanks for chatting to us and good luck with the rest of the training!
Thanks!
