Meet Anna Von Hausswolf. 25 years old from Gothenburg and one of the the big local artists playing at Way out West.

You grew up in the famous old part Haga in Gothenburg. How was that?
Cosy and very familial. Back then it was more of a bohemic character in Haga. Lots of artists and culture. Like the record company Radium my dad had with his friends. Nowadays it has become more polished and posh. But luckily a lot of the old hippies still live there! What were your big musical inspiration growing up?
TLC! I loved them and as kids me and my friends started our own band called CTZ clearly inspired by them :)So do you have any favorite bands from Gothenburg now?
I really love Wildbirds and peace drums! They are my favorite band right now. And also El perro del Mar and José Gonzales!
How would you describe Gothenburg as a musical city?
Very Lush. Blossoming and all my friends have bands and studios and are creative. We also have a strong good indie scene. Before your big breakthrough you studied architecture. Which house do you think is the most beautiful in our city?
Id say it’s the concert hall. Or maybe the oldest house in the city. It’s a tiny cute house in my area Haga. And what about ugliest?
The lipgloss tower. It’s so damn ugly!
You played an hour ago. How did the show go?
Very well! It was a lot of people and I’ve never played a stage this
big so it was a chock when I saw all of those people when I came out on stage.Yeah you played on one of the two big stages. Did you feel you lacked some arena tricks?
Well I wanna learn to dance better on stage. And I wanna be able to headbang for two hours straight. Oh and also I wanna stage dive more!

So personally wich band will you see here on way out west?
Bon Iver and Feist. Feist is really important. Also Ane Brun and First aid Kit. Or wait! Good lord inalmost forgot John Maus. I really love him and think its going to be amazing!
Finally Anna. Do you have any favourite places in Gothenburg?
I really like the music store JAM located on Första Långgatan. And now they’ve also built a club downstairs were I really like to hang out. Also I like to go to the book store Aniara on Linnégatan to buy books.
